April 22nd is the anniversary of the birth of Earth Day in 1970. This modern environmental movement was born through the frustration of the American public with the devastation and destruction of lakes, oceans and wildlife from massive oil spills. Social engagement grew as the impact of climate change became more obvious.
A team from Modern Water UK recently travelled to the United States to attend a Public Water conference, and also took the opportunity to visit the Modern Water Delaware site.

World Water Day is held on 22nd March. An annual UN observance that began in 1993, it aims to raise awareness of the approximate 2 billion people living without access to safe water.
This March, the Modern Water team will sponsor, attend, exhibit and present at the Public Health and Water Conference & Wastewater Disease Surveillance Summit 2022 in Cincinnati, Ohio. The conference is organized by the Water Environment Federation in cooperation with the US Centers for Disease Control and the Ohio Water Environment Association.
